Genuine Authenticated Meyers Manx – 1969 VW – Restoration Project
For sale is a genuine, authenticated Meyers Manx dune buggy restoration project built on a shortened 1969 Volkswagen Beetle chassis.
This is a REAL Meyers Manx, not a replica.
The body has been authenticated by Winnie Meyers and comes with the original Meyers Manx Certificate of Authenticity signed by Bruce and Winnie Meyers, registry authentication number 2469. The certificate is in my name, as is the Idaho title for the 1969 Volkswagen chassis.
This is an excellent opportunity to finish a genuine Meyers Manx without having to start from scratch. A substantial amount of chassis restoration work has already been completed.
Chassis and Suspension
The shortened 1969 Volkswagen Beetle chassis has been thoroughly gone through and powder-coated. It presents extremely well and is a great foundation for the build.

Authentication and Documentation
One of the most important aspects of this project is its documented authenticity.
The original Meyers Manx body has been authenticated by Winnie Meyers and registered as Meyers Manx #2469.
The authentication certificate is signed by Bruce and Winnie Meyers, and the matching registry plate is included.
The 1969 Volkswagen chassis has an Idaho title in my name.
Genuine authenticated Meyers Manx buggies are substantially more collectible than the numerous replica dune buggies built over the years.
Project Condition
This is an unfinished restoration project and is being sold as pictured.
No engine is included. The buggy will require an engine, seats, wiring, installation of the body and included components, and additional work before it can be driven.
The transmission is included, but its operating condition has not been verified.
The vehicle is sold as-is, with no warranties expressed or implied.

Pickup and Transportation
Located in the Boise/Meridian, Idaho area.
Local pickup is preferred. Buyer is responsible for transportation or shipping arrangements. I am happy to work with a transporter to coordinate pickup.
